Memory Grove Park

Last Friday, before Paul and I headed up to Park City to stay with some friends, we had a little pit stop. Paul took me to this beautiful park called Memory Grove in Salt Lake City. If you have not been, then I highly suggest it! It has a creek with rock bridges going over it and lots of green grass. This is the perfect place if you are looking to meditate, exercise or some fun time with your pet.

We went to spend time together, which we are lacking because of work and school. The weather was perfect and the leaves were so colorful. We walked down this path and found the perfect tree for pictures. Most of all, I just loved being with my husband. We talked about life and things we don't get to talk about when you get home at midnight every night and leave early in the morning.

Sometimes I feel like our best talks are when we are driving or not at home. It takes all the distractions out and the focus is left on us and our hopes and dreams! No wonder God created so many different types of beauty for us. He knew that life would pose distractions, heartaches and loneliness. What better way to soften the blows of life than being in a place that puts you in awe and amazement. I am truly grateful for a Father that knows me and wants me to have joy and for a husband that knows just the RIGHT place to take me for some special time with him.

Paul's Accomplishment

My husband is the most awesome, sweet husband!!!! I just need to put in a good word of encouragement and gratitude for him. He insists that I stay home and focus on school. Even when I feel that he is overwhelmed and I can help financially by getting a job, he encourages me to work on my studies.

He has worked so hard and spent endless hours to get a traveling website started. He worked really hard designing it and making his dreams come true. It is now officially up and running. If you are familiar with Expedia or Travelocity, then you will LOVE this website!!!

It is.............www. choicetraveling.com

Please come check it out and use it! He has worked so hard and I am grateful for his enduring and sacrificing attitude through all this.

He never complains and I know that his effort will one day pay off! Here's to the "American Dream!" Thank you baby!!!

~ FREE PURSE ~

Hey everyone! No I did not drop off of the planet...and most of you are sick of checking my blog only to have eyelashes staring back at you :)

I finally quit my job so that I can attend school. To help me pay for my education, I've decided to start my own business! I'll be selling purses to start and hope to add jewelry to the mix a little later on. Only problem is I can't seem to think of a name. Any ideas? Suggestions??

Leave a comment with any company names you can think of. If it's chosen, there's a FREE PURSE waiting for you as a THANK YOU!

Thanks for all your help and creative ideas! I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Eyelashes

Before

So yesterday I did my first set of eyelashes. I was going to be home all by myself for the evening, so my friend came over for a sleepover. We did her lashes and I think they look pretty dang good for being my first full set. Not to mention I enjoyed hanging out with my friend and having our little girl party!

2009 Firsts

Well, I decided this year that I am going to do as many new things this year as I can. I heard a quote from somewhere that says, "When was the last time you did something for the first time?" Ever since I heard it, it has been on my mind. I ask myself what I have learned or want to learn this new year. I realize that last year I didn't put forth a good enough effort to justify my existence.
So far, some of the things that I have interest in are:
1. Taking my test to be licensed as an Esthetician. (I have made phone calls and found out info on the test. It is now a National test instead of a State test. Which is good!)
2. Learn to do Eyelash Extensions. ( I am taking the class on February 2 in Logan. If any of your are interested, leave a comment and we can set up a time! Pic's and info on novalash.com I just had a friend do mine and I love the fact that I no longer have to wear mascara. It's a beautiful thing.)
3. Learn to Waltz. (I have never danced in my life other than school dances. I realized that I have never danced with my husband. So I watched some lessons on youtube.com to become more familiar. The other night, I strung lights in our living room/dining area and when he got home from work we Waltzed together. It was very romantic. It was intense just looking into each others eye's as we danced. I think I will do this one again. He said that he loved it.)
4. Refurnish a piece of furniture. ( I have the desk and the materials to do it, I think!!! Now I am just waiting for it to be a little warmer in our garage for me to start that project.)

There you have it, I have posted some of my goals. Now anyone that wants to know how they are all going can keep me psyched to finish the task. I must say that I have enjoyed everything that I have learned thus far. I feel excited about life when I have something to look forward to. This year so far has been so wonderful! I have my Father in Heaven to thank for that and also my husband. Paul has worked very hard for our family. He is my best friend. I love him!!!

My new love..... or should I say loves!

So sorry it has been so long since posting. We are finally in our new place, although I can't seem to figure what to do with all the rooms. I would put pictures up, but if you can believe it most of the bedrooms still have boxes in them. I need some motivation to know what to do with them. Anyway, Paul and I have found some things to kill our time since we don't watch tv.
1. Dart Board. We got an electronic dart board after I played it at our work Christmas party. I thought it would be a nice addition to our........bedroom! I didn't really want it there, but there was no other place to put it that we would have room to throw the darts across the room without actually being in the cold basement.
2. I bought myself a Wii for Christmas. Yes, totally not like me, but what the heck. I had so much fun playing at my parents house that I couldn't resist. I wanted something fun in my life. You know, put on my party pants if you will. I finally got the Wii Fit. I had to drive to Spanish Fork in the snow last Monday to get it. Can you believe that. Everyone ran out of them right as they got them in. Took all the will power I could muster to not go shopping on Sunday after the ads came out. I might add that I have done it faithfully every day since I got it and I must say that I found a new love....right under you Paul. You are still safe. I love the hula hooping and the step. I opened up a new step one and it sure makes your brain think.
