Last Friday, before Paul and I headed up to Park City to stay with some friends, we had a little pit stop. Paul took me to this beautiful park called Memory Grove in Salt Lake City. If you have not been, then I highly suggest it! It has a creek with rock bridges going over it and lots of green grass. This is the perfect place if you are looking to meditate, exercise or some fun time with your pet.
We went to spend time together, which we are lacking because of work and school. The weather was perfect and the leaves were so colorful. We walked down this path and found the perfect tree for pictures. Most of all, I just loved being with my husband. We talked about life and things we don't get to talk about when you get home at midnight every night and leave early in the morning.
Sometimes I feel like our best talks are when we are driving or not at home. It takes all the distractions out and the focus is left on us and our hopes and dreams! No wonder God created so many different types of beauty for us. He knew that life would pose distractions, heartaches and loneliness. What better way to soften the blows of life than being in a place that puts you in awe and amazement. I am truly grateful for a Father that knows me and wants me to have joy and for a husband that knows just the RIGHT place to take me for some special time with him.
